Come mingle amongst the who’s-who of sustainability and environmental finance at Dream in Green’s 6-Yr. Anniversary Fundraiser, ‘Living the Dream!’ The event is hosted by the eco-fabulous Palms Hotel & Spa, and provides 3-hours of complimentary natural hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, live music and the Annual Green Innovator Awards, recognizing South Florida’s green innovators.

The Southeast National Marine Renewable Energy Center at FAU is working to help accelerate the commercial implementation of marine renewables for a more diversified and sustainable energy future. The Center is poised to begin testing an experimental research turbine and is awaiting approval and a federal lease to install and operate a small-scale turbine test berth offshore of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Learn how the SNMREC’s research is making a unique contribution to a broadly diversified portfolio of renewable energy for the nation’s future.

October 19, 2012Growing Florida’s Green Generation – 4th Annual Learn Green Conference and Expo, Palm Beach County Green School Recognition Program, West Palm Beach

FAU/Pine Jog Environmental Education Center and The School District of Palm Beach County Division of Facilities invite teachers, administrators, contractors, architects, engineers, parents, students, and community members interested in learning how to make schools “greener”. The workshops share ideas about how to “green” your school’s day-to-day operations and curriculum, with an emphasis on practical and easy-to-implement steps. The Exhibit Hall highlights agencies and vendors who offer environmentally-based goods, services, or educational opportunities.
